Big/Little Week

Finally the time has come to reap the rewards from sitting through the most god awful week of our lives: rush. After endless conversations beginning with, “OMG, you’re from New York? I’m from New York too!”, or being force-fed cheesecake that we CLEARLY didn’t want (obvi trying to get into our bikinis for frat formals… that was when there was hope pre-Mardi Gras) we now deserve to share the sisterhood with our babies by having the ultimate Big/Little Week.

Survival of the Fittest

Well I think we all know why we didn’t release a post this Monday…we were WAY too busy getting killing kegs and doing whippets. This Mardi Gras was definitely a wild one and we are oh so sad to see Carnival leave us but we are oh so happy though that all those Vandy and Emory kids left (our school is CLEARLY better than your school).

Week in Review

Ok we know it’s only Thursday, but deal with it. We would just like to take the time to do a little recap of this week’s events.

State of Mardi Gras

We have officially arrived at the week we’ve all awaited: Mardi Pardi. The king of kings, the grandest of the grand- everyone wants in on the action. From north to south and east to west- everyone has been sending us calls/texts/fb posts asking if they can spend a few nights on the floor, but who wants people on the floor when you’re trying to get it in?

Housing

Let’s all take a moment to acknowledge the presence of the most awkward conversation you will ever have, housing. Whether you are thinking of Mayer, Irby, Phelps, Willow, or SOHO, you better be crossing your fingers that you get a good lottery number (or that your friend’s mom is on Parents Council).

Days of Debauchery

Ok. So basically we’re still drunk from Superbowl. Which means we’re still drunk from Krew du Vieux. Which means we’re still drunk from Monday night’s Lady’s Night at the Boot to kick off the week of the pledges here at Tulane.

Superbowl Sunday

Put on your jersey and grab a cold one because we are quickly approaching Superbowl Sunday. While this day might be filled with unfamiliar football lingo (what the hell is the difference between a fumble and a turnover), distracted boys, and heated tempers, it is also the perfect opportunity to impress your crush…or just get drunk. For those of your who don’t know, the New York Giants and New England Patriots will be going head to head for the ultimate prize. Usually faced with the question of, “Who has better clam chowder? New England or Manhattan?” We now ask ourselves, “Who will bring home that coveted trophy?”

Pledges

Tis the season of merriment and fun now that rush has ended. Mazel tov to all of you lucky little pledges who made it into a sorority- have fun at 7:30 am at Bruff (yes AEPhi, you know who you are).  This week is full of fun and games provided by Ladies Night at the Boot (hungover on Tuesday #tulaneproblems) as well as the upcoming late night at FMs. Needless to say, we’re all counting down the minutes until Serenade/Superbowl Sunday this upcoming weekend. Who can say mimosas and bloody Marys come Sunday morning at 10am? That’s right, we can.
